Description
Porcelain Dark Blue Moon Bowl by Richard Baxter
An unusual little porcelain bowl, designed and made by potter, Richard Baxter.
The bowl has a cut out moon near the top. Glazed in dark blue with a white interior.
There is a faint gold embellishment around the top and base.
The diameter at the top is approx. 7 cm.
This vase is made using Limoges porcelain which is a very strong clay. It is fragile looking but durable too. It is, however, not intended for day to day domestic use and should not be placed in a dishwasher.
Richard Baxter is a professional potter, educated at Loughborough College of Art and Design.
Richard's artwork can be found all over the world, including some porcelain bowls in Stella McCartney's Hong Kong and Paris stores.
Richard sells at the Henry Moore Institute and exhibits all over the UK. There is even one of Richard's large bowls in Chelmsford Museum displayed alongside a Grayson Perry piece.
My blog has more information about Richard Baxter so why not take a look!
