Description
Porcelain Tiny Bowl with Blue Speckles by Richard Baxter
A unique porcelain shallow little bowl designed and made by potter, Richard Baxter.
The inside is speckled with blue on a light olivey green background with a dark rim, and the outside is mainly white. The bowl is approximately 9cm diameter.
This bowl is made using Limoges porcelain which is a very strong clay. It is thin, with a translucent quality, fragile looking but durable too. It is, however, not intended for day to day domestic use and should not be placed in a dishwasher.
Richard Baxter is a professional potter, educated at Loughborough College of Art and Design.
Richard's artwork can be found all over the world, including porcelain bowls in Stella McCartney's Hong Kong and Paris stores.
Richard sells at the Henry Moore Institute and exhibits all over the UK. There is even one of Richard's large bowls in Chelmsford Museum displayed alongside a Grayson Perry piece.
My blog has more information about Richard Baxter, so why not take a look?
