Get involved in Small Business Saturday UK!
On Saturday 7th December the UK is promoting its first ever SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY!
It already takes place in the US and is a well established commercial holiday there. It is usually held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and is one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
Small Business Saturday is to encourage people in the UK to try and support small businesses on 7th December and to continue their support into the future.
This special day is endorsed by all the major political parties to get the UK moving. Government departments are working with the campaign to help make it a big success.
Many small business, organisations,local authorities and community groups are getting involved too all over the country.
In the UK there are 4.8 million small businesses and this initiative is hoping to raise their profile.
